On Friday 15th May, we were delighted to welcome local MP Tom Rutland for his first visit to our Centre.

Our Chair of Trustees, Alex Nicholls and Centre Manager, EJ spoke with Tom about future plans on the agenda.  “As well as being the only MS Centre in Sussex, we play an important role in the community helping people with other neurological conditions, and we hope to enlarge our premises soon”, said EJ Stuttard, “so it’s great to have the support of our MP as well as of our local Council – especially in the current economic climate”.

They gave him a tour taking in the Oxygen Chamber where he talked with Secretary and Chamber Operator and trainer, Alan Taylor (previous centre manager from 1996-2014). Tom also had a chance to visit a physiotherapy session in the gym with Viola Santa, one of our physiotherapists and member Jess.

Tom met staff members, Rebekah and Helen, as well as some of our trustees and art and craft volunteers in the cafe before going out to admire the garden and chat with garden volunteers, Margaret, Sarah and Cathy.

We look forward to future visits and support for the charity.
